Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the website at reppl.sh (the "Site"), including the Reliability Scorecard tool and any content, features, or services offered on or through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Reppl.sh LLC, a company registered in the State of Delaware, United States ("Reppl.sh", "we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not use the Site.

If you are accessing the Site on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" shall refer to that entity.

Services described

Reppl.sh offers the following free, web-based tools and services:

• Reliability Scorecard — a self-administered 40-question assessment that generates an indicative reliability maturity score across categories such as SLOs, on-call processes, deployment practices, incident management, and observability.
• Diagnostic Call — a no-obligation consultation where an SRE practitioner reviews your Scorecard results and discusses your reliability priorities. Booking via Calendly.
• Insights blog — editorial content on Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering practices.

These services are provided free of charge for informational and introductory purposes. Paid professional services (audits, implementation engagements, retainers) are governed by separate engagement agreements signed at the time of engagement.

Scorecard disclaimer

The Reliability Scorecard is an indicative self-assessment tool. It is designed to help engineering teams identify broad reliability maturity themes, not to provide a definitive audit or professional engineering opinion.

No client relationship is created. Completing the Scorecard or receiving your results does not establish an attorney-client, consultant-client, or any other professional services relationship between you and Reppl.sh. Such a relationship arises only upon execution of a written engagement agreement signed by both parties.

No reliance. You should not rely on Scorecard results as the sole basis for making material infrastructure, staffing, or architectural decisions. Reppl.sh expressly disclaims any liability arising from decisions made in reliance on Scorecard output without independent expert review.

Your answers. The accuracy of your Scorecard results depends entirely on the accuracy of your self-reported answers. Reppl.sh does not verify answers and is not responsible for results generated from inaccurate or incomplete responses.

Benchmark data

The Scorecard results page displays benchmark figures for comparison (e.g., "Series B–D Average" and "Top Quartile" scores). These figures are currently static illustrative estimates based on Reppl.sh's practitioner experience working with engineering organisations at comparable stages. They are not dynamically computed from real Scorecard submissions by other users.

These benchmark figures are provided for illustrative context only. They do not constitute a representation that your company's score implies any particular level of operational risk or readiness relative to the market. Reppl.sh makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of benchmark data.

Intellectual property

Reppl.sh's IP. The Reliability Scorecard's question set, scoring model, weighting methodology, category taxonomy, and visual design ("Assessment Methodology") are proprietary to Reppl.sh LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the Assessment Methodology without our prior written consent.

Your data. You retain ownership of the answers and information you submit through the Scorecard. By submitting, you grant Reppl.sh a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use your responses to: (a) generate and deliver your results; (b) follow up about our services; and (c) in anonymised, aggregated form only — with no ability to identify you — to improve and calibrate the Scorecard methodology and benchmark data.

Site content. All other content on the Site — including text, graphics, blog articles, logos, and code — is the property of Reppl.sh LLC or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may link to and share our public content for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site or any Reppl.sh service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through our forms or tools.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Scorecard or Site in a manner that imposes unreasonable load or circumvents access controls.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercialise any output of the Scorecard without our written consent.
• Reverse-engineer or copy the Scorecard question set, scoring model, or methodology.
• Transmit malware, spam, or any content that could harm Reppl.sh or other users.
• Impersonate Reppl.sh, our personnel, or any other person or entity.

We reserve the right to block access from any user or organisation that breaches these acceptable use provisions, without prior notice or liability.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Reppl.sh LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.
• Damage to systems, infrastructure, or operations arising from reliance on Scorecard results or any content on the Site.

These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if Reppl.sh has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain types of damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In all cases, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed USD $100 or the amount you paid to Reppl.sh in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE, SCORECARD, AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) any results obtained from the Site will be accurate, complete, or reliable; (c) the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components; or (d) any defects in the Site will be corrected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. To the extent any dispute must be litigated in court (see §10), each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.

If you access the Site from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. These Terms do not override mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under the law of your country of residence.

Dispute resolution

Informal resolution first. Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@reppl.sh with a description of your claim and your desired resolution. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days of receiving your notice.

Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site (except small-claims court actions) shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in Delaware or by video conference at either party's election. Each party shall bear its own fees and costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. You agree that any dispute will be resolved only on an individual basis and not as a class or representative action.

Exceptions. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.

Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

For material changes — those that significantly expand your obligations or limit your rights — we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice, such as a banner on the Site. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
